Summary
Baseline Coherence
This lesson introduces the baseline coherence practice — the foundational skill that supports everything else in HeartMind Leadership™.
Rather than a technique to “calm down,” this practice trains your system to return to stability so you have access to clarity, listening, and proportion when it matters.
Baseline coherence is not designed for moments of high intensity. It’s designed to build capacity quietly, over time. By practising when things are relatively calm, you strengthen your ability to return to coherence more easily when pressure does rise.
This practice becomes the reference point for all future regulation work in the programme.
In this lesson, you will:
- Learn a simple, repeatable baseline coherence practice
- Understand why regulation is easier when practised before stress peaks
- Experience coherence as a felt sense, not a concept
- Establish a daily rhythm that supports leadership capacity
Reflection & Practice
This lesson includes a short reflection to help you integrate the practice into your day in a way that’s realistic and sustainable. Consistency matters more than duration. Gentleness matters more than effort.
How to use this lesson
Watch the video once. Then practise along at least once more before moving on. There’s no need to “get it right.” The goal is familiarity — so your system knows the way back.
Guided Practice
Practise along with this guided baseline coherence session. Inhale as the white ball rises, exhale as the white ball drops.
